Islay Single Cask #5 - Special Release

Limited to just 850 bottles this is the inaugural bottling of our limited edition cask releases. Specialist maturation is what gives this very exclusive Rum its deep flavour and bold, rich character. Islay casks add a smooth smokiness with hints of peat mellowing into the rich body of the dram.

NON CHILL FILTERED

NOSE: Smokey, gentle with oak and oak char. Smoke decreases thereafter but still there. Sweetness then comes through with caramel and toffee hints.

TASTE: Strong smoke but not overpowering with sweetness of caramel and vanilla. Then more smoke, but not overly long. Sweetness with citrus peel or orange / grapefruit merging into spicy and smoke following. At the end vanilla and caramel with soft marmalade.
